Psalm 144:4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.

Christ in me

Colossians 1:27
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The work of the Spirit of God is not always a mystery as it says in Colossians – God has chosen to make it known – i.e. not a mystery any more.

So In preparation for leading bibleclass tonight, my collection of verses on the spirit of God and Christ that dwells within believers is as follows.

The ‘Indwelling’ God

Ezekiel 36:27 (collective)
Ezekiel 37:14 (collective)
Romans 8:9
Ephesians 2:22
1 John 2:14
1 John 4:12
1 John 4:15

The ‘Indwelling’ Christ

Romans 8:9,10
2 Cor 4:11
2 Cor 13:5
Gal 1:15,16
Gal 2:20
Gal 4:19
Eph 1:22,23
Eph 3:17
Phil 3:10
Col 1:27-29
Col 2:10

Is it the same thing? Well, It seems to be the same power and Romans 8:9-11 uses the ‘spirit of Christ’ and ‘spirit of God’ interchangeably, so it would seem to be the case.

John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

Are we prepared to believe what the bible says in the bits we might be a little uncomfortable with?

My favourite 'in a nutshell' passage about the spirit is 1 Cor 2 v 6+. It ends up by saying 'But we have the mind of Christ.' There it is!

Yeah, I'd say you can't slice up God, so if He is in you, then He is in you, right? So, the different personalities of God (the Trinity) can manifest themselves, but God is still One.

@2nd man unitedAnd, at the end of the day how much does God really care about the intricacies of the boxes we try to define him by??The Creator – the one who made the rules, is not bound by time, dwells in unapproachable light…I wonder if he is really bothered quite how we understand him theologically / doctrinally as long as we are loving Him like crazy and searching for His truth.
